JOJO & JACK CARPENTER
Jack, nacido en 1991 y Jojo nacida en 1997, comenzó a tocar el piano a la edad de 7 y 8 años. Después de estudiar música clásica, se interesaron muy temprano y con pasión por la música boogie que los une hoy en el escenario y en la vida.
Nació en 1997. A la edad de 6 años, descubrió todos los registros de Che & Ray y Fats Domino, lo que despertó la pasión de que quería hacer una carrera desde el principio.
Tomó sus primeras lecciones de piano a los 8 años en una escuela de música estatal, con Peter Scheidegger, donde siempre insistió en el boogie y el blues, además de piezas clásicas como Beethoven, Chopin y Scarlatti. Sus primeros toques con jazz 'más complicado' como Chick Corea o Herbie Hancock, lo hizo con su primer maestro.
Aprendió a leer la hoja principal en los talleres regulares de la banda y comenzó a tocar el bajo a la edad de 12 años.
Le cuesta leer música desde el principio. Ella prefiere aprender de oído y mira a otros jugar. Así conoció a Marcel Brunner (hermanos del piano) a la edad de 15 años, cuyas lecciones tuvieron lugar sin calificaciones. Con él conoce muchos clásicos de los viejos tiempos. Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson, Meade Lux Lewis, Otis Spann y también los grandes del jazz de los últimos tiempos; Axel Zwingenberger, Vince Weber, Dave Ruosch y muchos más.
A los 16 años conoció a su ídolo Raymond Fein (Che & Ray) con quien podía tomar lecciones esporádicas. La lleva al escenario y la acerca un poco más a la vida musical. También comienza con lecciones con Chris Conz. Durante este tiempo conoce a muchos músicos que la ayudan a comenzar su vida en el escenario. Por ejemplo, Chris Conz la deja tocar en la fiesta posterior a su Noche Internacional de Boogie, Martin Schmitt (DE) le da la bienvenida a su aparición como invitada, y muchos otros músicos siempre la reciben cuando entrena su interpretación improvisada como acompañamiento en el piano.
A los 17 años dio su primer concierto en solitario. En el mismo año, llevó a Gino Todesco a un estudio de grabación (Soundcheck Studio, Jeannot Steck) por primera vez para grabar las primeras pistas de demostración. También les presenta a otros músicos y los invita a una actuación en Tailandia. Durante este tiempo, puede inspirarse por todos lados y dar consejos, p. por Nico Brina y Chris & Mike, tanto en el juego como en la apariencia misma.
JoJo y los trucos de Boogie
En abril de 2015, los dos pianistas Jack y JoJo Carpenter se conocieron por primera vez y (aún) desconocidos comparten un teclado. De esta reunión, el dúo JoJo & the Boogie Tricks surgió después de un corto tiempo. En 2016, Charlie Weibel enriqueció al equipo creativo con un gran baterista y en el mismo año el contrabajista Thomas Custer completó la banda. Desde entonces, los músicos han estado viajando juntos regularmente y deleitan a su audiencia.

JoJo Carpenter
Was born in 1997. At the age of 6, she discovered all of Che & Ray and Fats Domino's records, sparking a passion that she wanted to make a career from the start.
She took her first piano lessons at the age of 8 at a state music school, with Peter Scheidegger, where she always insisted on boogie and blues in addition to classical pieces such as Beethoven, Chopin and Scarlatti. Her first touches with 'more complicated' jazz such as Chick Corea or Herbie Hancock, she did with her first teacher.
She learned to read the lead sheet in regular band workshops and started playing the bass guitar at the age of 12.
She's struggling reading music right from the start. She prefers to learn by ear and watches others play. That's how she met Marcel Brunner (piano brothers) at the age of 15, whose lessons took place without grades. With him she gets to know many classics from the old days. Albert Ammons, Pete Johnson, Meade Lux Lewis, Otis Spann and also the jazz greats of recent times; Axel Zwingenberger, Vince Weber, Dave Ruosch and many more.
At the age of 16 she met her idol Raymond Fein (Che & Ray) with whom she could take sporadic lessons. He takes her on stage and brings her a little closer to the musical life. It also begins with lessons with Chris Conz. During this time she meets many musicians who help her start her stage life. Chris Conz lets her play at the after party of his International Boogie Night, Martin Schmitt (DE) welcomes her to a guest appearance, and many other musicians always welcome her when she trains her improvisational playing as accompaniment on the piano.
At the age of 17 she gave her first solo concert. In the same year she brought Gino Todesco to a recording studio (Soundcheck Studio, Jeannot Steck) for the first time to record the first demo tracks. He also introduces them to other musicians and invites them to a performance in Thailand. During this time she can be inspired from all sides and give tips, e.g. by Nico Brina and Chris & Mike, both on the game and the appearance itself.
JoJo & the Boogie Tricks
In April 2015 the two pianists Jack and JoJo Carpenter met for the first time and (still) unknown share a keyboard. From this meeting, the duo JoJo & the Boogie Tricks emerged after a short time. In 2016 Charlie Weibel enriched the creative team with a great drummer and in the same year the double bass player Thomas Custer completed the band. Since then, the musicians have been traveling together regularly and delight their audience.
Acting school
She is artistically at home not only in music. At the age of 15 she began training as a film and theater actress at the Vera Forster drama school for theater and film in Zurich.
Private
In 2015 she left her hometown and moved to a small house, where she lived and played together with her husband and partner (Jack 'the Boogie Trick' Carpenter) and their doggie 'Boogie'.
