Founded by Alessandro Muner, the combo was born like an evolution of the band ‘The Roosters’, that from 2012 till 2014 was the resident quintet during the ‘Lindy Hop Night’ at Jazz Club Torino.The playlist of the Gatsby Orchestra is a selection of original big band arrangements, adapted for a ten players combo, taken from the great master’s songbook of arranger and composer from twenties to forties. Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Mary Lou Williams, Louis Armstrong and Jimmie Lunceford are only some of the artists that inspired the project.
